I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Information Systems & Analytics (ISA), Leavey School of Business, Santa Clara University.
My research studies span multiple disciplines including information systems, computer science and marketing. The overarching goal is to apply data analytics to identify user behavior patterns and facilitate business decision making. My specific research interests include recommender systems with a focus on addressing some existing challenges in this field; machine learning, more specifically, adaptation and evaluation of predictive analytics for intelligent decision support; retailer channel management, especially problems regarding online-offline channel synergy, online review analysis, etc.
I earned my Ph.D. in Business Administration from the Department of Information and Decision Sciences at Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota. My advisor is Gediminas Adomavicius and my thesis under his mentoring provides nuanced decision support in different applicaiton domains by balancing different aspects of decision support models or by providing complementary sources of information for decision makers. I also hold degrees in Management Science and Engineering (MS) and Management of Information Systems (BS) from School of Economics and Management, Beihang University.
